Z to H: Day 1: Why am I here?

Blogging University Student

Course: Zero to Hero

Day 1: Who am I?  Why am I here?

If we were in a university classroom, I suppose we would be asked to stand up and introduce ourselves. This is a much less stressful way. So, here it goes.

As the year changed from 2015 to 2016, I realized that I would be turning 58 in March. I don’t feel 58 because 58 is a number. There are days when I feel that I am in my twenties. New Year’s Day, for example, found me out on the dance floor at a wedding reception with a few of my cousins and several of our adult children doing the electric slide. It felt great. That is until the next morning when my knees screamed to me that if I was going to act like I did, I need to start exercising daily.

A friend of mine calls birthdays a trip around the sun. I will have made 58 trips around the sun in March.  The wonderful, supportive truck driver and I will celebrate our 17th anniversary. I raised two boys into mature young men (ages this year 32 and 30) who still embrace the creative child within. I have two adult step-daughters (ages 30 and 28 this year). I call six young ladies and gentlemen my grandchildren (ranging from 1 to 15 this year).

In retrospect, I have had a wonderful life and have met some wonderful people and made some wonderful friends.

WHY AM I HERE?

We hear people talking about things being out of whack or out of kilter. I’m trying to create balance in my life, make my life kiltered.

As a blogger, I am here to share my efforts and ideas to attempt to eat real, whole foods rather than canned and frozen processed foods or fast foods. I want to meet new friends and motivate people to choose happiness and learn gratitude. I want to talk about how to deal with stress and how to play as an adult. I want to share my attempts at using natural ingredients and essentials for health and cleaning.

I am looking at connecting with people who want to create change in their lives, even if it is scary.

Over the next year I would like to have this blog gain a following as I work to learn to create regular posts.

Join me in a conscious effort the change our lives.
